super saver at 48th & o has best choice pre-cooked bacon for a dollar a 2.1 oz package. probably so cheap because it's dated 9/23-- but still, i won't have any problem going through this package before then.
i know it's not the best bacon... just the most convenient bacon! i like to take a box to work, because it turns a bagel and cream cheese into a breakfast sandwich.
and for a dollar, i might buy one just to sneak into a movie for a snack.
If you have a boil that's bothering you I hear bacon makes an excellent poultice (I wish I were kidding, but it is a pretty well established folk remedy). Just wrap a slab around your boil and wait.
Personally, I'd toss the bacon strip afterwards, but in these dire economic times you may just decide to rinse and reuse.
uber bacon snob in me says ewwwwwwww, but it is a great deal and would be great on a salad or in a soup.
